About Me

I quietly work from my cosy home studio based in a small rural village just outside Perth, in Perthshire, Scotland. 

I studied at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in Dundee, (many years ago!!) where I specialised in Illustration & Printmaking, completing my BA Hons Degree in Design, and then later a Post Grad in Secondary Art Teaching at Moray House School of Education in Edinburgh. 

I embarked on my self-employed freelance illustration career while at home bringing up my children, and through that time worked freelance for a wide variety of clients in areas such as Women’s & Children’s Magazine Editorial, Children's Book Publishing and Greeting's Card Publishers.

Recently I have tried to simplify my creative working life and focus on only a handful of art sectors that I enjoy creating for.

Why Christmas art you ask?

I wanted to streamline my creation focus for art licensing clients and decided to niche down a little so that I wasn’t scrambling every year to create for Every season.

I love the Nostalgia of Christmas, the colours and many characters and subject matter that encompasses the whole season.

I draw by human hand with a pencil and a stylus on a drawing tablet and finish most of my work in Corel Painter & or Adobe Photoshop.
